Racing Legends: 426 C.I. Graphic Tee
A vintage hand-lettered tribute to the most feared engine in drag racing history — Chrysler's legendary 426 cubic inch HEMI.
Some numbers don't need an explanation. 426. Say it to any gearhead and they already know — the hemispherical combustion chambers, the dual Holley carbs, the thunderous exhaust note that made grown men move out of the way. When it debuted at the 1964 Daytona 500, Plymouth swept the top three finishing spots, and the engine's dominance was so overwhelming it prompted Ford to go back to the drawing board entirely. They called it the Elephant. Nicknamed for its sheer size, the 426 HEMI was as fearsome on the drag strip as it was on the superspeedways.
This graphic tee by artist Dustin Wood channels that golden era through vintage-style hand-painted lettering pulled straight from the hood of a race car. No digital polish. No clean vectors. Just the raw, hand-crafted energy of an age when race cars wore their identity in brushstrokes — and the 426 wore its number like a warning.
Between 1964 and 1971, the 426 HEMI was the engine to have on the drag strip — powering legends from Don Garlits' Swamp Rat to the Plymouth Barracuda Super Stock cars to the winged Charger Daytona. To this day, a version of the 426 HEMI still powers every single Funny Car and Top Fuel dragster in NHRA competition. That's not a legacy. That's dominance.
Wear it like a badge. Wear it like a warning.
